A number of misleading statements have been brought to the Parish Council's attention in regard to the recent eviction of the travellers from the North Side Recreation Ground.
We can confirm that neither Lee Rowley MP nor County Councillor Charlotte Cupit has contacted the Parish Council, neither has either Mr Rowley nor Cllr Cupit directly assisted the Parish Council during the eviction process.

The next Tupton Parish Council Meeting will be held on WEDNESDAY 13th October at 7.00 p.m. at Old Tupton Methodist Church. Legislation now requires that the Councillors meet in person but members of the public may still join the meeting virtually by clicking on the link on the agenda which will be available here a few days before the meeting. Council position statement on the re-opening of Clay Cross Station

I am pleased to be able to report that the flag and flag pole have been serviced and repaired and the flag is now proudly flying over the Community Gardens again.
I am appreciative that our service company were able to action this in time for D Day in response to comments from local residents requesting this.

The Parish Council are to seek additional support from the Police and Highways to help reduce the problem of people illegally parking on double yellow lines, grass verges and close to junctions.
Local residents have complained to Parish Councillors about the hazards this creates as visibility is reduced for both road users and pedestrians and residents are concerned an accident will happen.

Parish Councillors at their December meeting voted unanimously to keep the precept demand the same for a further year.
This means to local residents there will be no increase in the Parish element of their Council Tax demand for the next financial year.
